Jon Hamm

John Hamm brings to Accept Software a wealth of experience from several high-growth companies, including Whistle Communications, where he served four years as president and CEO. His prior experience includes EVP and general manager of advanced storage products, a $450M business division at Adaptec (NASDAQ:ADPT) and executive positions at Western Digital both in the U.S. and Europe. John started his professional career at Hewlett-Packard.

John has a diverse background that ranges from venture capital investor to adjunct professor at the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University to leadership coach and advisor/board member to dozens of technology companies. Hamm has served on the boards of IronPort Systems (acquired by Cisco), Brocade (NASDAQ:BRCD), SiliconStor (acquired by LSI Logic), Documentum (acquired by EMC), Truveo (acquired by AOL-TW), and many others. John was named a Top 100 Venture Capitalist of the USA for 2009 by AlwaysON.com

A prolific author, John has been published in The Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, Business 2.0, Business Week, Fortune, USA Today, and The Wall Street Journal. His latest work, "Unusually Excellent: The Necessary Nine Skills for the Practice of Great Leadership", was published in February, 2011 by Jossey-Bass, an imprint of Wiley. John graduated from Purdue University with a dual degree in Engineering Management and Engineering Physics.
